Our Aim
Our aim is to ensure no autistic individual is lonely. Loneliness is something that nobody wants and people with ASD are more prone to it. We want people regardless of neuro-diversity to be appreciated and valued in today’s society hence why would like to partner families with autistic individuals.
Who we are and how we work
BeFriend an Autistic Family
We pair volunteers with families after assessment of both the families and individuals profiles. The volunteers and families will Have weekly meetings (face to face or virtual) establish a friendship arrange leisure trips suitable to the family and volunteer.
Both families and volunteers will have an access to our autism friendly centre on certain occasions. The centre has professionally designed rooms suitable for fun, autism-friendly activities.
Our Befriending Service is supported by a range of professionals such as cognitive behavioural therapists and social workers .
We have currently undergoing this wonderful project with a small group of parents and we hope to continue the effort and support during these unfortunate circumstances.
